7 Easy Steps to Salon-Perfect Nails at Home

For a perfect DIY manicure, you will need the following tools:

  • Nail Polish remover or acetone
  • Cotton ball or Cotton Pad
  • Nail file
  • Cuticle Pusher
  • Cuticle Trimmers (optional)
  • A base coat, Top coat
  • Now that you have everything that’s needed, let’s begin!

Step 1: Clean your nails

Stripe your nails off old nail polish or any traces of previously used products with the help of nail polish remover and cotton. Make sure to clean dark colors like red, carefully. Clean hands provide the perfect canvas to lay your art on.

Step 2: Shape your nails

Give your nails the desired shape once the old nail polish is gone by using the nail file. Decide if you want short nails or long nails, and file accordingly. This might take some time so be patient because it’s all going to be worth it!

Step 3: Push back cuticles

Gently push back the cuticles that are coming onto your nails with the help of a cuticle pusher. This keeps the nail even and prevents bumps that will make the nail polish look clumped at some places.
